How do I share company news with my customers?
Purpose and scope
As a merchant, you want your identity and brand to be displayed through your eCommerce mobile app. Your Aphix PocketShop will be built with your colours, your logo and your content so that your company brand shines through.
After its release to the Google Play Store or Apple Store, you may want to make changes to it. Some of these changes, such as adding content to the latest news section or updating your banner set, you can do yourself in the Management Interface. Others you make need us to help you with. For example, if you change your logo and wish to update it in PocketShop, this may require the app to be re-built and re-distributed to your customers.
This article describes how to update the Latest News section in Aphix PocketShop.
Step by step
Step 1: Log into Aphix Management Interface
Log into Management Interface using your username and password. This opens the dashboard of your Management Interface.
Step 2: Open pages
Click Pages to open the Content Management System (CMS). The Pages feature allows you to create, modify and delete news articles in the Latest News section in PocketShop.
Navigate to the News sub-directory under English in the menu tree on the left of the page. This opens the CMS editor, that allows you to create, modify or delete news articles.
Step 3.a: Create and save a news article
Click New Page. This opens the CMS editor that allows you create a new page.
Add your news article using the different tabs in the editor. The following fields must be set as follows:
In the General tab, use the New Listing Page, and remember to include a URL and link.
In the Status tab, make sure that the status is set to Published.
In the Menu tab, set the Menu Index. Remember that the lower the number, the higher the screen will be displayed within the News section in PocketShop.
Click Save to create the news article. The PocketShop “Latest News” section is updated immediately.
If you find that your image isn’t updated immediately, logout and log back into PocketShop.
Step 3.b: Edit and save a news article
Open the news article that you wish to edit.
Make the changes you would like to. Remember that the following fields must be set:

Click Save to saves changes to the news article. The PocketShop “Latest News” section is updated immediately.
Step 3.c Delete a news article
Open the news article that you wish to delete.
Click Delete. The news article is deleted and PocketShop Latest News section is updated immediately.
