How do I add footer text to my order confirmation email?

Purpose and scope

The sales order confirmation email is an automatic email that is sent to your customers when they place an order through your Aphix WebShop. Perhaps you wish to thank your customers for their loyal custom. Maybe, you'd like to include general information about shipping or pricing. Potentially, you want to alert your customers to a promotion you think they would be interested in?

You can do this by adding general content to the footer of the sales order confirmation email. Once created and saved, this content is added automatically to all sales order confirmation emails underneath the cart contents and totals information.

The purpose of the article is to explain how to do this in Aphix Management Interface using Pages, our content management system.

Step by step

Step 1: Log into Management Interface

Log in

Log into Management Interface using your username and password. This opens the dashboard of your Management Interface.

Step 2: Open Pages


Click Pages. This opens the Content Management System.

Step 3: Create CMS page

  • Click New Page to create a new page.

  • Use the content editor to write what you wish to include in the footer of the sales order confirmation email that your customers receive.

Remember to click Save to save your page. The changes are immediately available for use by WebShop.

Step 4: Update CMS settings to include footer text

  • Open Settings → CMS to get a list of CMS-related settings.

  • Scroll down until you see Order Confirmation Bottom.

  • Select the page you've created in Step 3 from the drop-down box of available pages.

  • Click Save. 

    • Remember to click Save once you update the Order Confirmation Bottom field. The changes are immediately available for use by WebShop.
    • Once you've updated CMS settings, the CMS page is set up as a System Page. It is not possible to delete a System Page. Should you wish to delete this page later, update Order Confirmation Bottom to a different location and its designation as a System Page is removed and you can then delete it by clicking Delete Page.

What does my customer see in their sales order confirmation email?

An order confirmation is emailed to your customer once they have placed an order in WebShop.

The page containing the footer text in included under the product list and order total.
