Configuring and using delivery due dates

Purpose and scope

As a merchant, you may want to give your customers some flexibility about when they receive their orders while still retaining control over your delivery logistics. Our Delivery Due Date feature meets both those requirements.

Switching it on in Aphix Management Interface gives your customers a due date calendar on their checkout page where they can request a specific delivery date. By default, your customers can not request delivery on weekends, UK & Irish Bank Holidays. You can also configure the calendar to set an earliest available delivery date.

This article gives you a step by step guide on how to switch this feature on and configure it to suit your business needs.

Step by step

Step 1: Log into Management Interface

Log into Management Interface using your username and password. This opens the dashboard of your Management Interface.

Step 2: Open Settings

Open

Click Settings. This opens the configuration area of Aphix Management Interface.

Due dates configuration options are found on the Shipping features page. To locate them, search for ‘delivery’ or navigate the file directory [Features → Shipping].

Step 3: Enable due dates & set earliest available due date

Configure
  • Click On to display a calendar on the checkout page in Aphix WebShop.

Once enabled, the customer can see a due date calendar on the checkout page where they can request a specific delivery date. By default, the Aphix platform excludes availability for delivery on weekends, UK & Irish Bank Holidays. This means that your customers can not request delivery on any of the excluded days.

  • Set the next earliest available due date. By default, this is set to +1, which is the next working day, excluding days that are automatically blocked out (weekends & bank holidays). The format of this configuration must be +<number of working days>.

  • Click Save to save changes.

Saved changes are applied immediately to WebShop.
