Improving your customer experience
When you or your customer open Search in the top menu bar, you are now presented with a message saying: "Type anything to search for products". If no products are found, a "No products found." message is displayed. Additionally, you can change the text of both messages to suit yourself using our Translations feature.
The PocketShop barcode scanner has been redesigned to be quicker and more responsive. A loading icon is displayed when PocketShop is scanning a barcode.
Validating addresses and collection points during Checkout
We've improved the user experience during Checkout by including address validation:
- When your customer selects Deliver to Address, both the first line of the address and the country are required fields.
- When your customer selects to collect their order, they must also select a collection point.
Both of these improvements reduce the number of orders that are submitted with incomplete delivery or collection information, which smooths the journey from order to delivery for both you and your customer. Read our feature guide on how to place an order in PocketShop to see where this fits into the Checkout process.
Aphix Digital Platform
Standard naming for custom fields
To get the best out of your Aphix solution, you'll use custom fields. Custom fields are created in your ERP and are integrated with Aphix Digital Platform when your solution is built. Typically, they allow you to extend your business data so that your eCommerce solution can also use that data without compromising on its quality or integrity.
We have a standard naming convention for these custom fields - you'll have to include a prefix of "AX" for all custom fields used by Aphix web services.
