Using Favourites Groups in Management Interface

Purpose and scope

As a merchant, you want to provide efficient ways for your customers to place orders. Our Favourites feature allows your customers to mark regularly purchased items and have them listed under Favourites in WebShop. 

Both you and your customers can group their Favourites into different categories by using the Grouped Favourites feature. This allows them to filter products in the catalogue by placing products in different groups. For example, you could have a Favourites group called "Shoes" containing all shoe products, and another called "Socks" containing all sock products. This makes it easier for you and your customers to locate products, allowing for quicker and easier order placement.

The purpose of this article is to explain how to

  • create, view, edit and manage Favourites Groups

  • lock or unlock Favourites Groups, which determines whether your customers can modify the Favourites Groups that you manage.

This feature is linked with each customer account.

Tasks

Step 1: Log into Management Interface

Log in

Log into Management Interface using your username and password. This opens the dashboard of your Management Interface.

Step 2: Open customers

Open
  • Click Customers on the left hand menu. By default, a list of your Web Customers are listed.

  • Click the edit icon to the right of the customer you wish to modify. The customer can be listed under Web Logins or Customer From ERPs This opens the customer’s details.

  • Click the Favourite Groups. This opens the screen listing existing Favourites groups.

Action 1: Create a Favourites Group

  • Create a spreadsheet of Favourites groups. 

Key points

  • You can list one or more Favourites Group(s) in this spreadsheet.

  • The spreadsheet consists of two columns which contains the data of your Favourites Groups:

    • Code, which is the product code of the product you wish to include

    • Group, which is the name you give to your Favourites Group

  • Click Import Spreadsheet. This opens a screen to the right side of the screen from where you can import your spreadsheet of Favourites Groups.

  • Click “Select Customer Spreadsheet“. This opens a dialog box that allows you to select the spreadsheet you have previously created.

  • Locate the spreadsheet and click Open.

  • Select your customer type - either B2B or B2C.

  • Click Submit. This uploads the data from the spreadsheet to WebShop.

  • Verify that the data has been uploaded correctly by viewing Favourite Groups in Customer Administration.

View groups

A list of existing Favourites Groups are listed under the Favourites Groups tab in each customer account. Each entry has the following data elements displayed:

  • Group name

  • Number of items in the group

  • Whether the group is locked or unlocked

  • Edit button, which allows you to perform other tasks on elements in the group

Action 3: View and/or products in a Favourites Groups

Manage

Click Edit on the Favourites Group you wish to manage. This displays a list of products in a Favourites Group. 

Add a product

Update the products in your Favourites Group by creating a spreadsheet of products to be listed as part of the group.

Click Import Spreadsheet and select the spreadsheet. This automatically validates and imports the data.

Remove a product

Click Remove to the right of the product you wish to delete from the Favourites Group.

Lock or unlock a Favourites Group

More information

A Favourites Group can be locked or unlocked.

  • A locked group is one where your customers can not add or remove products from it in WebShop.

  • An unlocked group is one which can be edited or deleted from WebShop.

If the group is currently unlocked, click Unlocked. This locks the group. In WebShop, this means your customers can no longer add products to or remove products from this group.

If the group is currently locked, click Locked. This unlocks the group. In WebShop, this means that you can now add products to and remove products from this group.

Export

Click Export to export a copy of all your Favourites Groups in a spreadsheet.

Delete a Favourites Group

Click Delete to delete this Favourites Group.
