🆕 New features in Aphix WebShop

Support for Digital Commerce in the United States of America (USA) and Canada

We’ve added support to our platform, our WebShop and our Managment Interface so that it works seamlessly when it is implemented in the United States of America and Canada.

Now, our products can be hosted on infrastructure located in USA or Canada.

Management Interface can be configured to support a US locale, meaning that US date formats and currency formats are supported.

Finally, we support tax compliance in USA and Canada through the use of our integration with Avalara AvaTax.

Integration with Avalara AvaTax

We’ve added a new integration with Avalara AvaTax to help you seamlessly manage tax compliance and regulations.

The Avalara integration can be added from our App Store in Management Interface. Read our feature guide to learn how to configure and manage Avalara AvaTax.

Once you’ve installed Avalara, you will gain access to the Tax Codes screen (found under Catalogue in Management Interface). While you can always store your product tax codes (defined as a classification that you, as the merchant, assigns to each product to allow a tax calculation engine calculate the correct sales tax to apply to an order) in Avalara AvaTax, you also have the option of managing them in Management Interface. This screen displays the product tax code associated with each product in your catalogue. You can use our handy spreadsheet import & export feature to update this data or manually edit each record on-screen. Read our feature guide on Managing product tax codes.

Once configured, your customers can benefit from a checkout flow designed to suit the US market - with sales tax automatically added based on your customer’s delivery address, using either real-time data from your AvaTax integration with WebShop or tax code data uploaded to the tax code screen in Management Interface. New payment gateway

We’ve added another payment gateway!

Aphix Digital Platform now integrates with UTP, a PCI Level 1 compliant payment gateway. Our UTP eCommerce payment gateway supports order payments and balance payments. Aphix Digital Platform does not store or process your card details. Read our feature guide to discover the many payment gateways that we integrate with.

Updated language packs

Using our Translations feature, field labels and error messages can be displayed in multiple languages. We support five languages: English(UK), Dutch (Netherlands), French, German and Spanish. Over time, we’ve added extra field labels and error messages to support new features. We’ve updated our five languages packs to cover these extra field labels and error messages.
